Installation & Safety

• Who should install it: This unit connects to your vehicle's electrical system and, on many vehicles, its CAN network. We recommend installation by an auto electrician or qualified installer.
• Power and earthing: If a power feed is run direct from the battery it must be fused within 300 mm of the battery. Where the earth is taken to the body, use clean bare metal and make it tight: a loose or painted earth heats at the joint while drawing less current than the fuse rating.
• Before you drive: Check that no new warning lights stay on, the airbag light especially, and that any reversing camera, steering wheel controls and parking sensors work as they did before. If a new warning light stays on, do not drive until the fault is resolved. An image that is present but frozen is not a working camera.
• Use while driving: Set up navigation and audio before you move off, and do not operate the screen while the vehicle is moving.
